Crotty and O'Neill  ·  Turning Point

Mike Crotty is widely recognized as one of the finest composer/arrangers in the jazz field today. Since July of 1972, Crotty has resided in the Washington, D.C. area, serving as composer/arranger with the Airmen of Note, the premiere jazz ensemble of the U.S. Air Force. Much of his music, written for both professional and amateur musicians alike, is published, performed and recorded world-wide.

Crotty has performed in both the saxophone and trumpet sections of the Airmen of Note. His career has been highlighted by performances with Dizzy Gillespie, Tony Bennett, Mel Torme, Sarah Vaughan, Maureen McGovern, Diana Ross, Mary Chapin Carpenter and the National Symphony Orchestra.

Crotty is in demand as a jazz performer, composer, arranger, conductor, educator and clinician. A native of Putnam, Conn., he graduated from the Berklee College of Music in 1972, earning a B.M. in jazz composition.
